Almost Eleven

Beginning the annual ebb
Ten begins to fade
And eleven creeps nearer
Promising future gifts
Of joy, fun, laughter
And the occasional surprise.
Yes...
Looking to eleven
Saying farewell to ten
Is like saying good-by to an old friend
While ready to embrace change
And the ever evolving adventure of life.

  5. I long for new adventure - moving forward to eleven intrigues. Nicely put. Nothing stagnent about life lived with purpose.

  6. Ahh..almost 11. Like when I turned 11 or I watched my boys turn 11. There is a passing, isn't there? Beautiful.

  8. happy to see that you will be baking the cookies...just keep working the dough with the spoon till it comes together and then just roll into a log and chill. they really are good. the secret is not to overmix the dough. ...then slice with a serrated knife carefully.
